TLC Celebrates 25 years of logistics dedication

This year, the TLC Group celebrates three important milestones: 25 years of the Group, and 20 years of continuous operations in both Angola and Gabon. These milestones reflect TLC’s long-term commitment to its markets, its clients, and its people.

The Beginning

Founded in Switzerland in 2001, TLC was built on a clear conviction: complex logistics require both international standards and a strong local presence. Over the past quarter century, this principle has guided the Group’s development into a trusted partner for Energies, Resources, and Infrastructure projects in challenging environments.

TLC began modestly — with a small team of trusted colleagues, limited resources, and a strong entrepreneurial vision. What drove the Group’s growth was not scale at the outset, but a clear understanding of where opportunities existed, how to capture them, and how to turn them into sustainable progress.

The Road

A defining chapter in TLC’s journey has been its long-term presence in Africa. In 2026, TLC Angola and TLC Gabon will each celebrate 20 years of uninterrupted operations — a rare achievement in demanding logistics markets.

Over two decades, local teams have supported major oil & gas, mining, and infrastructure projects, building long-standing partnerships with international and local clients alike. As projects grew in size and complexity, TLC evolved from traditional freight forwarding and customs clearance into fully integrated project logistics.

Today, the Group coordinates transport, customs, marine, and project solutions across multiple regions, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient execution of critical supply chains worldwide.

The Roots

Beyond operations, TLC’s strength has always been its people. Today, the Group employs over 300 staff, including many team members with more than 10 years of tenure, and several who have been part of the journey for over 20 years.

Across its network, experienced local teams combine technical expertise with a deep understanding of regulatory, cultural, and operational environments. This balance between global standards and local knowledge remains at the core of TLC’s identity.

Strong governance and ethical conduct underpin all operations. TLC maintains a firm commitment to anti-bribery and anti-corruption compliance, driven from the highest levels of leadership, with strict adherence to ethical and QHSE standards. The Group’s headquarters are ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 certified, and TLC Angola is progressing toward ISO certification, targeted for 2026.

One Step Forward

Celebrating 25 years is not only a milestone of longevity, but a reflection of trust — the trust of clients, partners, and teams who have built TLC’s presence across regions and industries. It is also a moment of alignment.

Through its “One TLC” approach, the Group continues to harmonize standards, capabilities, and its brand across all operations.

Looking ahead, TLC remains focused on strengthening integrated logistics capabilities, advancing digitalisation, and supporting the evolving needs of Energies, Resources, and Infrastructure projects worldwide.

Twenty-five years on, TLC continues to move projects — and the people behind them — forward.
